🔥Just got a hold of the new EP from 𝑩𝑳𝑨𝑪𝑲 𝑾𝑯𝑰𝑺𝑲𝑬𝒀 titled 'Rebel', and damned if it's not the highlight of today, and tomorrow.
Five well crafted songs which sounded great when blared loud. I need to give this another spin - but instant highlights are: 'Whiskey Rock n Roll' which we played on the last podcast (is this the strongest song Black Whiskey have written?!) - the stinging guitars on the title track 'Rebel', the heavy riffage and guitar solo on 'Raising Hell' and overall - their authentic Australian sound. One listen in - and I'm giving it the thumbs up. Go chase it down: blackwhiskeyaus.com

AUSTRALIAN ROCK REVIEW

New single ‘Wild & Free’  mixed in California by Michael James  – Producer  and being mastered in LA by the legendary man himself Dave Donnelly is about to be born.  Michael  James is well known in USA &  had a side career as head of A&R for Warner Music Discovery. James has also been featured as a guest writer for Billboard magazine.  James & Donnelly have a lifetime of impressive projects & credits including the who’s who of rock & music -Aerosmith,  Motley Crue,  Reverend Horton Heat, Hammerfall,  Hole,  Poison,  Ratt,  L7, SIxx A.M,  Steve Vai,  Journey, Chicago,  Whitesnake,  AJ Croce,  Robben Ford, Janes Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Michael, Blink 182, Slash – The list goes on & on …..

Black Whiskey clearly have something that these two legends like, and judging by their impressive clientele list, If these two are mixing and mastering this band you know Black Whiskey have something special.

The Rockpit - Full Review

We are supporters of this loud Brisbane outfit – they crank out no bullshit rock n roll and are a band with much momentum.
Australian Rock Review

To end the night was Black Whiskey.
A band I have been told is a must see and tonight I saw why.
A great pub rock sound with a punch and the bands slogan ‘Rock n Roll is Dangerous Again!’ suits them to a T. They continued with Too hot to handle and finished off their set with another new song Wild n Free. It left me wanting more and thanks to the amped crowd shouting for an encore we were treated to a special encore of No More.  I went in with a high expectation after the many raving reviews of this band and I was wasn’t disappointed. Awesome show, awesome night.

THE COLLECTIVE POWER OF THE GROUP

There is a good deal of experience behind Black Whiskey, who supported Australia’s Rose Tattoo, England’s Skindred, America’s Hollywood Undead, as well as other great local acts as Diva Demolition. The band who has released a string of acclaimed singles, and have been aired on radio stations across the globe, recently dropped their latest track, entitled
“She’s On Fire”

On one level, the song is a transparent anthem ready to be used on television during the maximum possible number of montaged sports action highlights...……

TUNEDLOUD Magazine

Black Whiskey released 'RAISING HELL'  which has already seen airplay overseas and in Australia with stations such as 4ZZZ in Brisbane, Valley 89.5 FM in Canberra as well as numerous stations in Europe and the USA, it debuted at #18 on the triple j unearthed charts and racking up over 1500 plays within the first few days and it is still climbing. Black Whiskey are turning heads with their new single and are quickly gaining a strong following on the social media platform and are set to be releasing their new EP 'Wild & Free' later this year. This is definitely a band to watch out for and if the EP is going to be anything like Raising Hell then you are going to be in for a real treat!
